SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR //

Volunteer Position

OVERVIEW //

We're looking for someone to who is friendly, social, approachable, organised, loves working in a team as well as individually and has great interpersonal skills! You would become a valuable member our of Operations Leadership Team. As the Social Media Coordinator you will be responsible for developing and executing Conviction Group's media strategy, as well as the creation and publication for all Conviction Group media related content across multiple social media platforms. ​

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES //

  • Creation and development of Conviction Group media strategy
  • Media content creation for all parts of the organisation e.g., programs, partnerships and events
  • Publication of various content on all CG social media channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter) 
  • Development of high-level communication to key stake holders e.g., important internal organisation updates on media channels. 
  • Management of  our media ‘Idea to Publication’ process 
  • Attending the Operations Leadership Team meetings

OBJECTIVES & KEY RESULTS //

  • Create and publish engaging content for our volunteer community weekly (minimum) with the aim of increasing volunteer engagement.  
  • Increase the social media community/following.  
  • Accurately target audience groups. 
  • Respond to enquiries and media through social media platforms within 24 hours. 
  • Execute long term strategies that aid in growth and awareness via media platforms. 

BEHAVIOURS & KEY SKILLS //

  • Experience with Canva and Adobe InDesign is advantageous.  
  • An interest in content creation and graphic design (experience is preferred but not necessary)  
  • Exceptional ability to demonstrate forward thinking and take initiative
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills  
  • Good self-management and organisational skills  
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills  
  • Effective relationship and stakeholder management
Note: we ask you to commit volunteering up to 8 hours per week in this position.
